So why blog?

I have prayerfully been considering whether or not to blog.  I am a stay at home Mum with four kids who I have been homeschooling for the last 10 years.  I have been making various resources for years and in the last couple of years I have been putting some of those resources on Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) website.  As time has gone on, I have had an increase in sales on TPT, which has been a real blessing and encouragement.

However, sometimes it isn’t just the resources you make that are worth sharing.  Sometimes it is the discoveries you make on the way that are also worth sharing.  Plus I don’t know about you, but sometimes someone mentions something to you and at that time it isn’t important because it isn’t your focus.

I had a close friend and neighbour send me a text months ago telling me among many other things that she had a Kaffir Lime Tree.  At the time it wasn’t important and I never appreciated that tiny bit of information, then recently I was surprised when I noticed it in her garden, because now I was making Thai Green Curry and it is one of the ingredients in it.  So now I was interested in this information.

I know that there is so much information available on the internet, in books, on TV and in our heads that sometimes we feel like we have information overload.  My hope with this blog is to write about what I am doing or discovering as I teach my kids.  You can then either read it or search for the information later on when it becomes important or relevant to you.

Hope you enjoy it!
